Lake Tazawa Mizusawa Hot Springs
Mizusawa Onsenkyo (hot spring village) is nestled in the foothills of Mt. Akita Komagatake and overlooks Lake Tazawa. Many notable spots are within easy reach, including Kakunodate, famous for its samurai residences and cherry blossoms, Koiwai Farm, popular with children, and the hidden hot springs of Nyuto and Tamagawa Onsen.

The Cerulean Resort AONI is one of the largest resorts in Mizusawa Onsenkyo. The 100% spring water is flowing hot, and the guests are treated to Japanese-style kaiseki cuisine prepared with local and seasonal delicacies. We have a wide range of guest rooms, from Japanese-Western style rooms, which were renovated in 2021, to Japanese-style and Western-style rooms, which can be used for a variety of purposes, including travel with someone special or family members, and for group use.

You can also use the private baths at the adjacent "Aoni-sanso".

Cuisine
Enjoy Japanese kaiseki cuisine, local cuisine, and local sake made with seasonal wild vegetables, seafood, and other Akita ingredients, and plenty of Akita's famous brand beef and brand pork. As an option, you can also enjoy sushi freshly made by our artisans.
Breakfast
We have the highest standards for our rice which forms the basis of our breakfast. We carefully select "Akita Komachi" rice grown in a good soil environment, grind the rice in the running water (soft water) of Mt. Akita Komagatake, and cook it over high heat.
